Dine Plan builds and operates a SAAS ( Software As A Service ) which helps restaurants manage their table bookings, customer database and communication with their customers. They offer restaurants the ability to add an online booking widget directly onto their own websites and have recently released their own restaurant booking app and website.
Dine Plan has their own internal marketing team but approached us to come on board as social media consultants to help develop their strategy and growth plan.
Dine Plan’s primary goal is to get more people to download their booking app, so they can own more of the restaurant booking market place and provide more value to their clients.
Their secondary goal is to grow their following and influence within their industry so they can communicate with their audience more effectively. A stronger following communicates that they are one of the authorities within their niche.
Finally they have a goal of reaching the 10K follower mark so they can link to their platform as well as their clients in order to provide more value to their followers and restaurant clients.
Storyteller held an intensive strategy and planning session with their directors and marketing team to formulate their social media marketing plan. We used our tried and tested pillars to develop the plan and to ensure they are well on their way to reaching all their goals.
We assisted and taught them how to perform research into the competitors and influencers within their broader industry as well as their hashtag universe and which ones they should be using.

Next we studied what kind of posts people were responding to so they could create their BPP guidelines.
What is a BPP?
A BPP is a “Best Performing Post” we look through our list of competitors and influencers and study how their followers are interacting and engaging with the content they are releasing. This tells us what kind of posts will do well and what we need to focus on in terms of content.
Dine Plan now has a detailed knowledge base on which to call on and an optimised outline for what kind of imagery they should use for their content.
Post engagement is essential for content to be seen by an audience as well as potential new followers. We created a number of caption guidelines for different post types to get their followers to engage and interact with their posts.
Social media algorithms reward consistency, so it is important to have a posting schedule. Storyteller helped Dine Plan set up our recommended scheduling tools which the marketing team love.
